The actual purpose of
Islam is
To Prevent the People from Shirk or Polytheism.
The simple meanings of Polytheism word is to believe in more than One God (
ALLAH) and it is the opposite word of Oneness (of Allah) , but the actual criteria of this word is too much vast. Few important points will help us to clear the Image of Polytheism or Shirk.
- Worship or Prayer to something or somebody (Idols, Human, Sun, Moon, Fire, Pictures, Trees or Animals) except God.
- Imagine that God Contains more than one Personalities.
- Believe that Someone is Partner of God or God has Family (father, mother, brother, sister, wife, son or daughter or other relation ship).
- God has not complete authority or ownership of Universe.
- Believe that God may Die.
- God depends upon somebody.
- To believe that somebody can destroy the Law and Order of God.
- Asking for help from Non-Believers or Polytheists.
- Believe that someone has some values equals to or more than God.
- Believe that Complete Knowledge is property of any person and God has no control.
Quran says in Surah Nisaa
Undoubtedly, Allah forgives not that infidelity be done with Him and whatever is less than infidelity forgives whomsoever He pleases, And whoso associates partners with Allah has forged a great sin.
in Surah Younas
Say you, 'Do you tell to Allah the thing which is not in His Knowledge either in heavens or on earth. Holy is He and exalted is He from their association.
